Welcome to the home of former GeoSpot, Inc (2005 -
2010). The company was formed to develop next generation Location-Based
Services (LBS) application platform. The next-generation platform consisted of a stack of software layers. The
core technology of the "geo-platform" is the geographical content
management system with real-time geo-indexing. It allowed the company to
showcase the following unique features:
map content update. Developed the first of its kind vector-tile
interactive map browser on the web (2006). The platforms showcased amazing
capability of adding POIs (points), roads (multi-lines), lakes (polygons),
city/state boundaries (polygons), ad hoc drawings on the map, and
refreshed in real-time in web browsers world-wide.
support heights / altitude coordinate (3rd dimension) for structures like
buildings, mountains, bridges
timeline to content (4th dimension), allowing annotation of historical
events at location, or any content including evolution of roads, city
boundaries, businesses operating at same location, and even products
offered by business (e.g., changing of gas prices).
location-based content search that can sweep regions incrementally, and
match fine-grained data types (e.g., operating hours of a business).
The videos below illustrated all the
amazing capabilities that were (or could've been) supported by
GeoSpot's advanced LBS platform, and what solutions
could be offered:
